After two rounds of the Body Fit fat loss challenge I am feeling great. It’s amazing how much my body and eating habits have changed in a few short months. I think the biggest change is my strength – I am lifting heavier weights than I ever have and my endurance has also increased significantly. I feel more than prepared to tackle the last few pounds I have to lose with the diet and fitness education I picked up while on the challenge.

What I enjoyed most about this challenge was the group training sessions. It helped to be working out along side individuals who had the same goal as me. It was also motivating to see the changes in them from week to week. Good work ladies!

If you need to jump start your weight loss or fitness routine I highly recommend this program. It taught me to get out of my “comfort zone” and in return gave me fast results that I don’t feel I could have accomplished on my own.

A big thank you to Christina, my trainer, who once again pushed me to accomplish things I never would have tried on my own. And to all the staff at Body Fit for being so friendly and supportive 🙂

7 Week_Sarah

At the beginning of this challenge I was feeling pretty bad about myself. I needed to do something about my weight but I didn’t know where to start. I needed some motivation.

I saw how well the people who did the 6 Week Christmas Crunch did and I thought that the 7 Week New Year New You Challenge would be perfect for me. I thought that in 7 weeks I could change my bad habits and start some new good ones. I was right!

The first week was really tough. I was sore from the work-outs, tired and not sleeping right, and very hungry due to the huge change in diet. I knew it would be tough but I really had no idea. I was very happy that I started seeing result immediately! It meant it was all going to be worth it! It started getting easier in Week 2 and 3.  I was less hungry because my body wasn’t craving sugar anymore. The meal plan got easier to do. I really had to tell  myself that I only needed to eat to fuel my body, not because I wanted to. It was great that there was 3 meals and 3 snacks a day, it made me feel like I was always eating anyways, just very different from what I would normally go and grab for a snack.

The work outs were intense every  time but got a lot easier as I got stronger every week!I really learned to love foam rolling! I always made sure to push myself to the max! I was very determined this whole challenge! I started to have more and more energy and sleeping much better. I really started looking forward to going to the gym. I used to make any excuse to get out of a work out, now I don’t want to take a rest day.

I am very pleased with the results I’ve seen in the last 7 weeks. My body has seriously transformed! I didn’t want to look at myself in the mirror before and now I am feeling much better about myself! I still have a way to go before I meet my goal. I look forward to continuing training at Body Fit Health Club! I have truly enjoyed these last 7 weeks.

To anyone looking to lose weight, If you are looking to push yourself, see results and change your lifestyle this challenge is for you! It definitely changed me!

7 Week_Julie

My name is Julie Lloyd and I live in Uxbridge. I have just finished the 7-week Challenge at Body Fit Gym. Although I did not achieve the 15 pounds of fat weight loss, I did lose 10.8 pounds of fat which I am pleased with.

I started this program because I got sick of hearing myself complaining about how I looked, and how I felt. I quit smoking 2 and half years ago, which was a massive life change, I started to feel and look healthier, the downside to that life change was some weight gain. It wasn’t suddenly apparent it just crept up on me and Bingo… I’m 20lbs heavier than I wanted to be. At 42 years old it’s harder to keep that weight off.

I am a mother of two boys, and I work full time, leaving Uxbridge at 7:30am and returning at 5:45pm doesn’t give you a lot of time, when you have dinners to prepare and other daily activities to attend. The most challenging part of this program for me could have easily been the time comittment working out 5 days at week, and two of those days at a designated time can be tough. But I’m glad that I had my Husband and kids there to support me.

My biggest fear was the NO Coffee, NO Alcohol.. 7 Full weeks. Could I do it.??? I’m happy to say that I still socialized and was fine doing it. It surprisingly didn’t faze me at all.

The diet I found to be easy to maintain, although I wasn’t one that would normally eat breakfast I quickly got into a routine of it. Meal prep is your best and easiest solution to keep you on track, my new favorite snack is Apple with Peanut butter, this coming from someone who had never eaten peanut butter before!!

The workouts were very rewarding and tough. I loved the group I was in, and our trainer Christina she is fantastic!! And certainly no pushover. Just got to say.. I hate Burpees

Would I recommend this program to my peers..? Absolutely!! I haven’t felt this good in years. It’s not just your body shape that changes. You stand straighter and you feel healthier. If you have the willpower, and you do need that to finish this challenge you will be fine. It’s not a walk in the park, no pain no gain!

I am looking forward to joining as a full member and continuing on with my fitness regime.
